Grey Custom+ Tuuks, gap in steel

I searched for this high and low but just couldnt come across this. Growing up I was a goalie and as much as I skate I've never had to replace steel on my skates. My buddy just gave me a pair of grey custom+ tuuks and after examining them on one of the holders there is a gap between the end of the plastic and where the steel begins. Is the steel to short?

No, it's perfectly fine.

You'll notice that in a lot of skates. You won't find many that fit perfectly.

As long as the screws inside are lined up correctly, just be sure to hang em up to dry to keep the innards from rusting.

As the others have said; as long as the screws are lined up correctly, you won't have a problem

There is nothing wrong with your skates, some don't fit perfect

I had the same problem. I took the skate to my LHS and asked if they could tighten the blade. They did try and the skate came back the same. There were no performance issues to speak of.
