Difference between Heatley and Iginla curve?

Recommended Posts

Honestly, if you are a good hockey player you can adjust to any curve. I have been using only Iginla for a few years jsut becuse its got basically a perfect mid curve (imo) and I love the slightly square-ish toe.

I was under the impression that heatley also had a shorter blade. I could be wrong, but I thought I would throw it out there

They both look short to me. I do think the toe on the Heatley is more square though.

The Iggy is a noticeably higher lie than the Heatley. I learned the hard way after ordering an Iginla CNT online without checking the lie first :(

just thinking but does the lie make much difference or is it just something you adjust to ?

dumb question?

IMO the lie makes a HUGE difference when going from one curve to another. Adjusting to a new lie on a stick/blade means that you will have to alter just about everything from shooting to stickhandling.

The toe on the Heatley is very square, Lidstrom style, the Iginla is a little less severe.
