Mission equipment help

Recommended Posts

I know there are a few mission guys here on forum. So please help me out. For some reason i appeal more to Mission hockey equipment and was going to purchase a lot of it this summer. If anyone can give a reasonable answer/review, it would be great.

Im interested in a few key areas:

1)Comfort/Durability

2)if any Pros/Cons

3)and of course Protection (probably one of the most important questions since i block quiet a few shots)

So here is the list:

1)Fuel 100 Shoulder pad

2)Fuel 100 Shin Guards

3)Fuel 110 Pants (especially interested since there is no info available)

4)Intake helmet

5)AGX skates (protection/durability questions)

I know there is the whole mission line review posted but most of the talk is about either gloves, new sticks, or skates. Even though there is a lot said about AGX skates, i havent read anything about the protection level on it.

If anyone can share their knowledge/experience i would greatly appreciate it!

Thanks!

I've had some top end Mission equipment and in general it is good quality stuff. My only beef about Mission products is the shin and elbow pads while being very protective, are very bulky compared to other major brands on the market. The shoulder pads and pants are very protective and well made, the pants being very durable and well ventilated, probably the best ventilated pants on the market. The Intake helmet is also extremely well ventilated and just as protective as any of the other major manufacturer brands helmet. It's very comfortable as well being well padded over the EPP liner. As far as their AG skates from what I've heard they are a good fit if you have a slim foot. I've tried a wide boot (EE) and still find them a bit snug for my liking. I prefer an E fit in a CCM or Easton or a wider boot like a Nike/Bauer Vapor. I have heard no complaints about durability with these skates but they are a fairly new line so that will come with time. To me they look well made. As far as protection they are probably on par with most of the major other manufacturers.( except Easton who now have the best on the market with their composite boot design) The Pitch 3 holder and blade already have a great reputation for durability and the blade is one of the hardest steels on the market and hold an edge longer than most other brands. Hope this helps.

Yes, it sure does help! thanks a lot!

I can see where u r coming from when say Shins/Elbows are bulky! However, i really liked the Advanced suspension system on new shinguards!

I had a little concern over ice pants as they did not look that well protected, but i may have been wrong!

Thanks again! and if anyone has anything else to add i would greatly appreciate that!

i am wearing the 120 pants and could not be happier. for the money the 110 is hard to beat. i like the mission pants because i sell them.. lol. actually i like them because, they have a traditional fit, but are light, move very well and have new school features. i tend to agree about the elbow pads although the new ones are better... i still like the Itech 955 the best. as for the shins some guys like more suspension than others. if you like a closer to the leg fit go with the Itech. if you need any more info feel free to PM me.
