Where to start?

Need help trying to narrow down my choices of skates. I am currently riding Graf 705's in a 6.5R. My foot size is 8.5 on right and slightly smaller on the left. I had these punched out a little on either side of my big and little toes and had them stretched slightly, (The 7.0R felt like they were too big).

Problem is the skates are still rubbing the hell out of the sides of my toes and I am getting lace bite around the 3-4 eyelet. (I'll mention that these skates barely fail the pencil test.) I had been fitted at the LHS and they recommended a 7.0R. I went down a size cause I felt like I wasn't getting a good heel lock on them. I've tried loosening the laces but then the skate feels too loose.

I'd like to try the NBH ONE75. DO you think these might work better than my Graf's. I don't have a high instep, no flat feet, and everytime I get fitted they tell me that my feet aren't wide.

Any advice?

I was in a similar situation pretty recently. I was wearing old Bauer 4000's for years and they finally broke down so I had to get new skates. I was wearing an 8.5D in them and the width was great but they were a little long so I figured I'd go down a size when trying on new skates.

I tried Graf 705 and Ultra G5 in a 8.0R and felt that the width was ok the toe box was extremely cramped. I happened to go to my LHS on the first weekend where they had just received the new NBH skates and I fell in love with the ONE75. They recommended I go down to a 7.5D and so I tried it and they were a winner. The toes were a little cramped but way better than the Grafs. I had them baked and now they are perfect. I would definitely recommend trying the ONE75's. If they are right for your foot then you will love them. Hope this helps.

One75 skates are a great value for the $$. They feature the ONE90 outer boot with a traditional well padded Supreme interior for your ankle and foot to get locked in. The ONE90 did not have the amount of interior padding that is inside the ONE75. Not everyone needs or should have the ONE95 so the ONE75 fills the gap in the Supreme line for a very well made skate. The ONE75 is worth trying on.

I agree with Darkstar I got to try on a pair and once I get the cash Im def. picking a pair up. They feel basiacly top of the line and are a great buy for someone with a budget.
