Looking for some shinpads

Recommended Posts

I am looking for some thick shinpads.

I like them long , so that they go over my tounge and have a very wide ending point.

I am using one90's right now and they are way to skinny.

what would be some good shinpads for me ?

thanks

RBK/Jofa is a wide shinpad.

I wear 4K's over the tounge of my XXV's and it works nicely, just make sure you get a long enough shinpad to still sit comfortably on your kneecap.

+1 for the RBK. I have the 3K's and I have to say they are the widest shin pads I've ever owned, then again i've only owned 3 or 4 other pairs of pads ages ago. I too wear them over my one70's and they fit and feel very nice.

RBK/Jofa or Mission Fuel 90's or 110's are thick and wide pads.

+1 for Missions. I recently checked out the new Fuel 130 and it is quite thick and wide.

I like the missions for this also...even if you go down in their line (ie. 85/75) the pads are nice and wide.

I like the vector 08s. I have them in the 16". They're very wide and are much longer than my old 16" jofas from about 7 years ago. They're comfortable and offer great protection and mobility so far.

I'm wearing some older ccm tacks 1052's. Needless to say, they're not that thick. So, I took my old padding out of my Jofa's and added them to the tacks. It sits on some velcro right up against the ccm padding. They're pretty damn thick now, and you can't feel a thing when a puck hits them. If you can't find the thickness you're looking for with new pads. I'd suggest going the route I did.

I bought some DR shinpads not too long ago...They're nice and thick..much more so than the old CCMs or Koho Revolutions I own.

Sounds to me you'd want to look into Jofa/RBK:s
