CCM Vector Pants

Recommended Posts

Hello everyone. Searching for information on CCM Vector pants led me to this older thread. I currently wear ancient Supras that are on their last legs. I have a chance to buy a pair of CCM Vector 06 LE pants for cheap so I'm trying to learn more about them. After reading several posts I understand these pants have a tighter fitting waist which is good for me; however, I can't figure out what the LE stands for. Does anyone know? I fear it means they've done something unique to the sizing and I don't want to drive across town to learn the LE means they're not for me.

My stats:

5' 11"

165 lbs

33" waist

Skinny legs and butt, but I'm a good skater. Overall, I have intermediate ability (decent skating is negated by bad hands) and I compete against better-than-intermediate players, light contact happens.

Thanks in advance for any additional tidbits of information you may have to offer. It's been a while since I've been on MSH. It's nice to see all is well.

Thanks for the helpful information. I should have guessed it was some kind of SMU. I didn't know Hockey Monkey had enough oomph to get into the SMU game. Good for them I guess. I still prefer to support my local hockey shop. In this case I'm buying used because I want to avoid the break in period, plus the price is right so I'll check out some slightly used Vector 06 pants this evening. It will be tough saying good-bye to my old faithful Supras.

Cheers.

I bought some CCM U+05LE pants from Hockeymonkey... I think the only difference in the LE's is some antimicrobial additive in the material. BTW those U+05 pants are very light duty.

I had V08's....terrible, terrible quality. If these are anything like the pair I had I wouldn't touch them with a 10 foot pole.

Exact opposite experience for me.

I recently purchased a pair of CCM V08 pants and unfortunately I wasn't a big fan. Build quality is great, but they are way to bulky for my liking - quite restrictive IMO. The most restrictive piece is the spine protector, way too big. It's huge and runs all the way down the tail bone etc. Great protection, but lots of bulk to deal with.

I came from an X30 Bauer pant and prefer the fit from Bauer, however they don't last as the materials aren't that good.

Just to clarify, you are comparing a mid-upper CCM to a lower level Bauer pant. Of course the material wont be as good.
