legiahockey 3 Report post Posted June 6, 2008 ive searched but came up blank. what would be the best glue to use to put the rubber in the back of the one90's back on. it would need to be flexible id imagine. does anyone have any recomendations??
Bender 0 Report post Posted June 7, 2008 sounds like something such as shoe goo would do a good job, if you dont know what it is, it's a thick glue that can be used to re-attach the soles of shoes, rebuild tred, ect. It's suprisingly strong, doesnt cost too much, and yes, it is flexible once dried as well.

Monty22 833 Report post Posted June 7, 2008 Gorrilla Glue or Elmer's "Ultimate Glue" both work well.
TheBert 0 Report post Posted June 7, 2008 Anyone ever tried it on outsoles?
Bender 0 Report post Posted June 7, 2008 for outsoles wouldn't most people use an epoxy? or are you looking at protecting it more so?
Spreedizzle 1 Report post Posted June 7, 2008 A 2 part plastic epoxy has worked well for me for more of a scuff guard on my Code 1's to protect it from serious abrasions playing on concrete. It hasn't cracked or broken off and it is just behind the toe box at the boot junction.
legiahockey 3 Report post Posted June 7, 2008 thanks. i was wondering about epoxy and if it would crack or not. i'll give these a try and see if it lasts
Law Goalie 147 Report post Posted June 7, 2008 Lepage 2-part Gel epoxy did a great job of filling in holes in my cowlings. Very drillable: I was able to drill several overlapped holes after it set, and they've held up beautifully ever since.I also used basic Lepage contact cement to re-adhere the outsoles of my Flexlite back to the toe-caps after a particularly savage stretching of the plastic. That's held up perfectly ever since, bearing in mind that the toes have been safely nestled inside the cowlings and not exposed to anything more traumatic than my weight. Law Goalie 147 Report post Posted June 7, 2008 Ah, yes - geography might be an issue. I only use Lepage because it's everywhere in Ontario - any contact cement should work, unless it's utter crap. It's also a little easier to work with, since you put it on both surfaces first, let them cure for 10-15min, then stick them together and press for a couple of minutes at most.
