Jofa 9400 Shoulder Pads

Recommended Posts

I was just curious if anyone had any experience with these shoulder pads and could offer notes on weight, mobility, heat retention, etc.

The most protective shoulder pads on the market. Jofa is recommended by a majority of the equipment managers in the NHL. The 9400's are a mid level shoulder pad that is equivilant to most higher end shoulder pads in a lot of other brands. They will give you very good mobility and are lighter than their higher end cousins the 9700 and 9800. This is because their not as heavily padded at the kidney and shoulder areas at the back. Still a very good shoulder pad never the less. Excellent choice unless you are playing more serious higher level hockey. In that case I would upgrade to the aforementioned models.

Yes, they have just about the same features however the 9k doesn't seem quite as bulky but every bit as protective. Either one would be an excellent choice regardless.
