Download Audacity, edit the MP3 you want to use and upload it to your phone. I do it all the time.

or if you have a mac, you can upload any song you want to garage band, cut out the part you want (meaning cut out all the other parts of the song) save it and send it to your phone through bluetooth. I am not completely sure how to do this, but my brother figured it out by himself and does this all the time.

The only thing is (im pretty sure) that the file has to be an mp3 file. If you are trying to use a song that you downloaded off of itunes all you have to do is burn it to a cd, put it back in the computer and convert it.

my phone cant set files as ringtones though, i have to actually download them from the internet. i've tried mixing my own and putting them on my phone but it would only let me play them, not set them as ringtones.

Well if you have internet on your phone the site I mentioned, cellsea.com, might work. If you go on your computer and search and preview the ringtone you want, you'll see a code at the bottom of the page. If you go to wap.cellsea.com on your phone's browser and type in that code, it will just download directly. But it very well might not work, but you could try at least. Also, it's free which is a plus.

the problem tho is that i don't want to use the browser because it costs alot of money to open it. my brother bought one and ended up spending 28 dollars in browser charges on top of the price of 'dont cry' by gnr
