killthepoodle 0 Report post Posted July 7, 2008 It's possible, right? Graf Canada is a big juicy nugget out there- and if Warrior wants to muscle into skates, who else is really an option? All the rest are a part of a full line, except Torspo, but I dont see warrior going after a white elephant like that.
shooter27 117 Report post Posted July 7, 2008 I sure hope this isn't true. Even though I'm not a graf wearer, I've always liked the look of their skates and seriously considered their skates when purchasing. I can only imagine what Warrior would do to the company in terms of the look of the boots and the marketing, given what they have down with the rest of their gear. JJ Thompson94 0 Report post Posted July 7, 2008 I hope Warrior doesn't buy Graf. Warrior may keep the Graf name and they would probably spend a lot more marketing dollars but they would also ruin the quality of the skate by mass producing them. That would totally suck. I've been looking at grafs for about 3 months now, I'm just waiting for a period when I have some extra money lying around. Those things are expensive. JR Boucicaut 3805 Report post Posted July 7, 2008 Untrue.Come on, you should know better than that, especially from that group.
killthepoodle 0 Report post Posted July 7, 2008 The post was meant to foster discussion JR, I would appreciate if you edited my post back to its original wording, which was accurate. For those just joining us, it said Unsubstantiated as opposed to *FALSE*.Yes, PHEW has many fools in the group, but that doesn't mean someone doesn't know something. What makes this rumor untrue? Ogie Oglethorpe 14 Report post Posted July 7, 2008 OK, someone can surely speculate what the names of the new skates and designs would be if it did happen.... Disco Stu Platform Skates with the goldfish in the clear holders?Maybe some ruby-studded skates with some wizzard of oz reference? What could they do to totally jack the classic skate look and name up? For those just joining us, it said Unsubstantiated as opposed to *FALSE*.Yes, PHEW has many fools in the group, but that doesn't mean someone doesn't know something. What makes this rumor untrue?Did you go back there and check the post? I corrected it there. My assumption was that people would click on the link. For those who didn't click the link and saw my response - they are not buying Graf. The skate they are working on was designed in-house and isn't being ghosted by Graf. And it won't be Warrior.By me leaving the post as "unsubstantiated" people would keep on posting about it, and build up the rumor to where it was believable. Whelp, going to go drink some Jameson now.
