Hey guys I couldn't find much on this.

What would you guys say the main difference is between the two? Is the cost only different because right now vapor xxxx pants are newer than the one90's.

The XXXX ACP is a lot of pad - it's essentially a more mobile pro-level PANT.

Sorry to jack the thread kind of, but I just ordered the XXXX Core pant and they will be here tomorrow and put in my input of what I think of them.

that has been my experience. When I had the One90 girdle I was constantly discovering new areas that did not protect me. There is a lot of spots that are just spandex with no padding. While not in high risk areas, I would catch a stick or puck and get a good welt.

The XXXX core-pad is pretty heavy duty with no dead spots like the One90 has.

I tried the one90 Girdle and felt that the padding was shifty in places, so at the advice of a guy at a LHS, I picked up the Easton Synergy Girdle from ebay for like $90 shipped and threw on a Bauer 6000 shell. These pads are awesome. Ive taken a puck or slash everywhere you can think of, as well a fallen pretty hard on my tailbone and have had no real injuries. I realy like them.

The xxxx core pad is essentially a vapor xxxx pant without a cover. The hip protection is the same as the pant and it has the triple overlapping hip protection like the pants. The only major difference is that the thighs on the core pad are adjustable like the oen90 girdle.

Just got the XXXX Core pant in the mail. Unbelievable. Coming from Tackala Air 9000's they are way better IMHO. The mobility is great with great padding. Sorry to get off topic but, JR since I ordered a Medium would I need a Small shell? And I noticed that there is a Vapor shell in the catalogue, but I can't find it online, all I can find is the Vapor Lite Shell. Is there a difference? Thanks.

The Vapor Lite shell is made to fit over a girdle, not hockey pants. I have the ONE90 girdle along wit the Vapor Lite shell and it fits real nice and snug. I think the other shell you are talking about can be worn over normal pants as well as a girdle. I would think the Vapor Lite would fit over the XXXX Core girdle but you may wanna check with a Nike rep cause I'm sure the Core girdle is more bulky then the ONE90 girdle. I think you'll be fine with it though, it'll just be tight. I ordered the same size Vapor Lite shell as my ONE90 girdle. Let me know how the XXXX is though cause I'm considering buying it.

Well on hockey monkey they have the Vapor Shell and it says "Optimized shape designed for use with a girdle," so would I get the same size as my girdle, or a size smaller?

Well english, I probably wouldn't be the one to ask as this is my first girdle. The mobility is way better than my Tackalas though.

I have purchased a pair of Vapor XX Lite pants. I will be looking to use a shell with these for games with my team. The pants are a size medium, would a size medium shell be the correct choice for use with the pants? Thanks.

I'm mainly a roller player that's looking to switch to mainly ice so please forgive my elementary questions, but do most of you guys wear the girdles with a shell?
