rollerskater92 0 Report post Posted July 11, 2008 what are some gloves with a fit similar to the easton synergy 300s? I like the open cuff with them, they have great mobility. I was looking at the synergy pros(the 4 rolls), nikebauer pro 4 roll, nikebauer vapor xxx, im really open to any suggestions though.
theWB 2 Report post Posted July 11, 2008 I'd say if you can pick up a pair of pro stock eastons, you'd be all set. The 4-roll is significantly bulkier especially since your coming out of a sorta low end glove. Vapor xxx's are nice also. Light, but very wide in the wrist. Ultimately it comes down to if you want to gamble and go on peoples suggenstions or go to a store and try a few on. Also, having a good store isnt an excuse. Ask some of the guys you play hockey with if you can try their gloves on. That way, you know how they feel when they're broken in. Hope my rambling helped. epstud74 24 Report post Posted July 11, 2008 Have you tried the One90 gloves? I find the upper end Easton gloves to be very comfortable but bulky. I've got a nice Easton S11 Stealth pair I love, but find my Graf 700Gs to be a lot less bulky along with my One90 pro stock gloves. The spendy gloves are nice and all but sometimes are a but bulky around the fingers. A mid level glove with less bulk ought to give you what your looking for. A teamate of mine just got Vapor XXV's Pretty sharp but not $150 like the others.
Jarick 5 Report post Posted July 11, 2008 My first pair of gloves were the Synergy 500's, my second pair which fit similar were CCM Vector Pros. I also liked the TPS R8 gloves but they were a little looser fit. Vapors are tighter fitting in the fingers but loose in the cuff, something you may like. Anything else was usually too loose or too tight for my tastes.

The 892 tacks didnt give me any wrist movement at all, i definetly would want a glove like that and they were too stiff. The vector pros were too tight, heavy and felt like crap. The reeboks were ok, but i felt that there were better fitting gloves on the market. The vapor xxx felt great. The vapor xx were too tight and id didnt like the fingers. The tps r8 also felt good.I prefer nylon gloves also.
chadangle 0 Report post Posted July 12, 2008 I also wear the easton 500s and i find that they are very similar to the CCM vector gloves. I am not really sure which model the CCM's were, but i used a pair in my provincial championships this year after a tore a finger out of my eastons. The outcome was a very similar feel. I was surprised. I will look up the model if you want, they are not this years though, I am sure.
rollerskater92 0 Report post Posted July 12, 2008 my main concerns are an open cuff for good mobility, breathability, a good palm, and lightweight.
