Lowe drafted some good players, and the oilers are a team on the rise. He's done a good job, as far as im concerned. They'll be a competitive team for a while.

No, not really. Wang pays the bills, so you are going to have to listen to him. A smart owner hires smart hockey people gives them a goal and gets out of the way. Wang is not a smart owner.

This would be more like Martin went from being coach and GM to just GM in Florida. Deboer (the new coach) is going to have to expect Martin to have more input into the coaching duties then the typical GM.
