CCM U OPS

I notice nobody has sent in a review on th new CCM U-Stick, OPS. I just ordered one and was wondering if anybody has one and what they think of it? Love CCM Vector 10 for it's nice flex (85) and a great slap-shot with it, but wondering if there are any changes to the U from the original vector.

I liked it, but i had some major blade problems. there are some other threads about this stick, (search)

You're asking after you already bought it? You'll find out soon enough I suppose.

Vector 10 Catapult got a really great reaction from what I read. The U+ is still fairly new, my LHS didn't have any but the display when I was there a month ago.

I am a huge Thorton pattern fan, so now that the V120 blade is becoming scarce, I have been shopping around.

Two weeks ago I picked up the U+ Thorton OPS. I have used it three times. It feels very well balanced. It is also one of the lightest CCM sticks I have ever felt. I am still trying to get used to how much lighter it is than my One90 shaft/V120 blade combo, but other than that I am very impressed. I find it very easy to pick top corners on my wrist shots.

Thanks MLS. Had the Vapor XXXX and just did not like the feel at all. Shots just didn't feel as hard with it as the Vector did, so figured I may as well go back to what I know, right?

It felt really light weight and whippy in the store; first CCM stick I've picked up that I actually thought about buying, but I had just purchased a Dolo the week before.

After the 2nd game with my U+ I had 2 chunks missing out of the backhand of my blade and after 4 games the plastic piece covering the hole on the heel of the blade caved in and is floating somewhere in my shaft. Stick is still alive and the blade is still stiff so not a big deal.

At first I hated at how hollow it felt since I was so used to the XXX Lites but after a skate I got used to it. I love the stick but I bought it to tie me over till the One95 comes out. I will probably submit a review soon.
