i just get twitter text messages from the red wings for in game scores/news and they just sent me this link about as soon as it happened. Apparently carle layed motionless face down for about 15 minutes before being carted off

Yeah i was at the game. He was carrying the puck up and Thomas Kopecky came in with a blindside hit and Carle dropped and layed there for a while. I didnt see him budge and inch the whole time he layed on the ice.

Also Lidstrom was hit with a puck in the face during the third period. He went down and got up a few minutes later with a puddle of blood there. He didnt return.

It was a clean hit, just Carle didn't see it coming at all and had no time to prepare himself for the hit.

It was a blindside hit, Carle never saw the guy comming. The elbow came up after the hit as a normal reaction but not on the hit. But boy oh boy was Kopecky skating after the hit while two guys were skating after him.

I haven't seen it but even Guy said it was clean. Shawn Belle got a double minor for coming to Carle's defence...I would've like dot have seen how that went down.

Looks clean to me. IMO anytime somebody gets hurt, somebody else wants to call the hit dirty. Sometimes it's deserved, but not in this case.
