SyracuseBulldogs04 0 Report post Posted September 26, 2008 I normally wear a 10 d in a vapor xxx. I have tried on a 10 d in a vapor xxxx and it seems like my toes were scrunched. Are you supposed to go up or down a half size for these skates (like vapor xx 10.5 down to a vapor xxx 10.0). Thanks.
AmoriZep 0 Report post Posted September 26, 2008 it seems they fit more like the XX for you then, huh? ;) (which is what i wear still...so i can't really answer your question)

johnson74 0 Report post Posted September 26, 2008 I wore an 8.5 in my xxx and then went down to an 8 in my xxxx. I believe people at NBH had recommended going down a half size from xxx when changing to xxxx or One90's. Mine fit great. Hope that helps.
Jarick 5 Report post Posted September 26, 2008 I went from 8D XIX's to 7.5EE XXV's, but the XIX's were too long and narrow anyway. I thought the toe caps got wider for the new ones?
SyracuseBulldogs04 0 Report post Posted September 26, 2008 Thanks for the response, still a little confused. I tried on a vapor xxxx with the same size of my old xxx's and my feet were scrunched? Any one else have an opinion?

Kevin 5 Report post Posted September 26, 2008 The toebox in the XXXX is bigger than that of the XX and XXX. New skates will feel tighter at first--baking expands them a bit.
SyracuseBulldogs04 0 Report post Posted September 26, 2008 Thanks, i am aware of this (going to try on 10.5's/baking issue/breaking in) but i just wanted a 100% reply on whether they fit half size down from XXXs, same size as XXXs, or a half size bigger than XXXs. One person already gave their input (half size down from XXXs) but i would like to know other people's situations who own the skates. Again, thanks for the replies. Scurvy 3 Report post Posted September 28, 2008 does anyone know if the new vapor line is the same in size as the flexlites? thanksJR,Chadd could you help me out on this? The new Vapor line is nowhere near as deep or wide as the Flexlites. You can try looking into getting the newer Flexlites or going custom. Syracuse, the answer to your question was already given. The newer Vapors definitely have a wider toecap and should fit half a size smaller. However, just try them on again and go with what fits/feels best to you. Jordan 13 Report post Posted September 28, 2008 I believe that the xxxs to xxxxs answer is that equal sizes are indeed the same length in these models. The toe box on the XXXX is wider, so some people have gone down a 1/2 sized because they wore larger size in the thirties to accomodate a wide forefoot. So, if you don't have that problem, you would wear the same size in each model. legiahockey 3 Report post Posted September 28, 2008 your over thinking this...its very simple. some people go down a size. some people stay the same. why dont you not think about your previous skate size and buy whatever feels good in the new model? 10 or 10.5 for you. Viking 1 Report post Posted September 28, 2008 It doesn't really matter what other people do, or what you're 'supposed' to do. If the 10 is too small, try on the 10.5 - EUREKA!
SuperMan3 1 Report post Posted September 28, 2008 For me, Vapor XX 8D, Vapor XXX 8D, Vapor XXXX 8D, I didn't need to go down a size because they felt small and my feet felt scrunched.
