foppa21 0 Report post Posted August 27, 2004 Maybe over at UTC, but it's all good here at Southern. We're in a real nice spot just outside the city. Truthfully, I haven't hit downtown yet. I'll have to check it out this weekend.

Yep Boulder is a nice town...I got accepted to go to the Colorado School of Mines in Golden, but decided Chemical Engineering wasn't for me. But I would've been in skiing heaven. Now, I'm an extra hour away from POS southern skiing than I was when I lived at home.

this guy 0 Report post Posted August 28, 2004 Isn't University of British Columbia around 40,000 people? I remember hearing that last year and thought that was wayyy too many people.
denverbronco86 0 Report post Posted August 28, 2004 The School of Mines is fantastic academically, the only downside that has ever been mentioned to me is the "sausage fest of a male to female ratio." I think I know a couple of guys from my high school going there, most everyone else went to CU, CSU, or DU. I'm at the University of Arizona. I like it a lot so far. God no....that place is probably around the 3rd worst place in the US behind a place in GA and another place in AL...Sugar Mountain in Banner Elk is only about 3.5 hours away and Winterplace in WV is about the same. The only place with some decent skiing near here is Snowshoe which is about 8 hours away from me.

Sugar Mtn, that was the place I was going to check out until the girl I knew that lived around there because a hose-beast. Anyway, how good is that place? I'm spoiled by AK though so I don't want some cheesy crap.
