The Savard firing is definitely oddly timed. Is it possible that Quenneville was courted by the Hawks over the offseason and just now decided to accept? And I thought that people had been relatively pleased with Savard?

Savard went over Tallon's head to try and get a contract extension and that was the main reason according to a couple different sources.

I guess Tallon might've foreseen a dwindling influence if Savard reached to ownership, I assume, and was granted an extension. Great team-first decision by the GM given the aftermath.

Anybody goin to the hawks game in st. louis tomorrow? Im guessing a bunch of hawks fans are going since its sold out. Im really hoping buff or wiz fight janssen, after that shit he pulled pointing at the av's stewart last night after stewart fought strachan, or whatever his name is.
