kovalchuk71 212 Report post Posted October 19, 2008 What should I use to clean some dirt and outside stuff off of my sportcourt pad. It stays outside, so it has some grime on it. Any ideas? I have no access to a hose, so that is out of the question. Any spray on cleaner?

Aussie Joe 0 Report post Posted October 21, 2008 I'd suggest just reg household dish washing detergent. It should be light enough not to damage the tiles and strong enough to remove the filth. I know our rink owner here has used it to clean sections.
kovalchuk71 212 Report post Posted October 22, 2008 Now, how can I add slickness to it? Its not for skating, its just a puckhandling pad. Armourall?
flyweightphantom 1 Report post Posted October 22, 2008  pee on it... j/k! I think amourall would work amazing make it nice and shiny but also give it that slick/oily texture.
Brokensticks 0 Report post Posted October 22, 2008 I wonder how well pledge would work. My cousin and I got in trouble on more than one occasion for spraying pledge on our grandmother's linoleum kitchen floor to play a little hockey in our socks when we were younger. I'm guessing it would break down too quickly or you would need too much of it to build a good waxy build up to keep the puck sliding.
Bravada 442 0 Report post Posted October 22, 2008 Maybe non-stick cooking spray?
kovalchuk71 212 Report post Posted October 22, 2008 Im going to try armourall first. Im not looking for it to be ice like, just a tiny bit more glide.

top-shelf 1 Report post Posted November 10, 2008 I've used silicone spray on my puck-handling pad, and that seems to work very well.
