Custom Easton S15

Recommended Posts

does anyone know where I could order myself a pair of custom s15s. Or is there a skate out there similar to the S15 that wouldnt need to be custom?

Right now I am wearing the S15 and it is the msot comfortble skate I have worn but it is falling apart I want to get something with durabilty and protection.

I got my custon s15's on ebay. They pop up every once in a while (saw a bunch of the in custom white recently). You will need to jump on them quick as they can sell for a lot of dough. What size are you? Also, you do know that they are differences between the retail and custom, right? It is the same fit, but they add an extra layer of composite, and extra pieces of rubber/leather. Along with solid steel and sometimes a felt tounge. The are much more durable and protective, but that weight advantage of the retail s15's goes bye bye.

There is an extra layer of composite on the side that is glued and stiched on the side and riveted on the bottom. There is extra layers of the rubber/leather on the front side, and a different material on the toecap. Solid steel in the RBII holder, and a felt tounge. The fit is exactly the same as retail, ans is quite a bit stiffer. But like I said, it is quite heavier as well, due to all the added material. Not heavy by any means, but heavier. You will be used to it after a few skates.

Is it true that these cannot be ordered through Easton? I thought I read that here that the program was open to the general public the way Bauer's is.

Eric I am in a size 9 right now, and I am looking for the extra protection on the sides and the toe because my composite mold is cracking.

I was wondering ymself if I could deal directly with Easton.

I've been asking this question for a while (so search would help) - seems like ebay is the only sure way of getting them

as a hint you can search ebay for 'completed listings' for S15 - there's just been a bunch of custom whites with LS2s from the same seller who seems to be a pro shop - ask that guy if he could get you a pair

I ended up with One95 instead - cheaper - btw there's a big thread on this as well :)

I'm not trying to be facetious in any way..... but buying custom skates on ebay? Doesn't that kinda defeat the entire purpose?

I think this thread is leaning more towards pro-stock S15's. Whether or not that is what pat_roy is looking for or not I don't know.

Not really, as the custom s15's are built with the stock retail last. The customs I have fit exactly the same as the retail. If you know what size fits you in retail s15, the customs will fit too. They are just done with some extra added features for protection and durability. They arent a true custom "fit".....just a built up retail skate. I got mine as the s15 was the only retail skate I could find to fit, but wanted the more durable, more stiff, and more protective pro custom model.

Yeah buying skates off of e-bay isnt what I really want to do. I wanted to know if I could just go to a LHS and get them to bring an easton rep in and order a pair of S15s that are custom fitted and are more durable.
