Bauer Supreme 0ne65?

Recommended Posts

Hey Guys

I was at national sport here in Canada and they carry the bauer supreme one65. They look identical to the one75/one 55. I checked the nike bauer website and they don't have the one65's listed. Just wondering if these are a smu? Can't seem to find any information on them

from what i have learned here, anything that's not in the catalog is an SMU for a store. That is, a special skate made for a company/store willing to buy enough to make it worth it for the manufacturers to run them. So the one65 is likely a mid-level skate with some extras from the higher models. (i.e. better liner or footbed or something like that)

they also may make price point skates like the ones mentioned by sebseb.

thought I'd bump this instead of making a new thread. I'm going out to get some new skates tomorrow and was just wondering if anyone has more information on the one65 or the comp. I'm leaning towards the comp right now just because it has more black on it, but I'm assuming they're the same skate, if one is better than the other it'd be good to know. Also does anyone know any significant difference between these and the one 75's?

I agree with Cue. I was just happening a look at the One/65 in National Sports the other day and it seems like a pretty nice skate for the money. I think it would be a pretty decent choice if your not into really serious three to four times a week hockey. Solid looking and light with some really nice extra features compared with the One/55. I'd say their worth a shot if you like them.

yeah I picked up a pair today, buddy said not to bake them just yet so I'll just try em out but if they're uncomfortable ill take them in. They feel really good initially coming off the supreme 6000's, I could have taken a pair of vapor XX's for 270 but there was just too much room in the front of the boot and I didn't like the low heel. Really impressed with the skates so far I just may need to get some superfeet and waxed laces cause I have no skin left on my pinkies. I also noticed that they have 280 holders on them where as my previous 2 skates of the same size had 288's, I hope that won't feel too different.

The shorter blade will give you better manoeverability especially close to the boards or in tight situations. It may take away a little bit from you forward speed however. It's a bit of a trade off.

skated on them yesterday, felt weird due to the new blades and the fact that my old ones were improperly sharpened right to the plastic. Without having them baked they caused normal discomfort but nothing major, felt responsive and light compared to my old supremes, but not quite as quick yet. I got them baked today and i threw my old superfeet in there to see if that made them better and they did quite a bit for me as I have scronny feet and the skates are pretty roomy right now and the superfeet tend to take up a bit more room. After an hour in them I could already notice a difference and they became more comfortable, can't wait to get some superfeet for them and they should be golden, solid skate I'd recommend it.

Love to see a happy man with new skates. Enjoy them. One of life's little pleasures.
