different graphic sticks

Hey guys I was just at a college game and went in the lockerroom after.. a nikebauer sponsered team..80 percent vapor 40 sticks then some one95s and one90s...I noticed that some of the 40's were just 30 lites painted over with 40 graphics...is this the deal with a lot of the 40 sticks in the pros and college?...It seemed like everyone liked the 30 alot more than the 40..I wish they kept making the 30 it was a great stick

They keep moving forward to bring people back instead of just having the same stuff year after year. People get bored that way.

yea I agree, but I am asking if you guys think a lot of the 40's in college/nhl are painted over 30's or I just happened to run across a 1 in a million

They can't get away with doing that at retail, but why not repaint XXXlites for college or pro teams? You get to use up old stock which is still perfectly fine to use. Or it could be personal preference, as the XXXlite and XXXX are completely different animals balance, and blade feel wise.

both..and I asked the kid whos sticks they were..the bottom had that lighter grey color with the little black and gray dots and the blade was the same way..they were next to real 40's and you could definitly tell the difference with the appearnce..40's have that maroon checkboard look on the bottom and blade

A lot of pro and NikeID XXXX sticks have standard black 12k carbon weave. College/pro players also get a TON more custom choices to change the feel of their sticks.

oh cuz i got a pro stock xxxx and it looks like a normal xxxx shaft with the 12k and red at the bottom but the bllade has small weave and is black.. must be a xxxx shaft with a xxx blade

I'm pretty sure if a NBH sponsored team were getting repainted XXXlites when they asked for XXXXs they'd be pretty upset. The more logical explanation is that the kids requested XXXlites but NBH painted them to look like XXXXs so that people watching them from afar would be more tempted to buy the XXXXs at their shop of choice.

Yeah, it came out weird when I said it but I meant it like that. NBH still gets their new product out there, and players get the stick they want=win/win.
