Hard EPP

Hi, I've searched but haven't really found much on this, my Mission Intake helmet's EPP has gone hard in the forehead area, and was just wondering if this was normal? I've used it since February, and dry it out and whatnot. Also, does this have any adverse affect on protection? thanks in advance.

EPP is hard, do you mean the comfort foam insert?

used my 8k for 2 years and yeah, it's the same with me.

as far as I know, it's still fine.

I'm not sure but to me it doesn't seem like the comfort foam should be getting hard.

Same thing happened to my Intake this summer. I just replaced the Intake with a NikeBauer 9500. I think the 9500 fits me as well as the Intake and no sweat/too hot issues going to the 9500.

Besides getting hard, comfort foam pieces were also sliding out of place inside the helmet. The helmet was two years old so it was time for a replacement.
