funny, i've never noticed the diamond-dimple texture on the ST. has it always been like this since the introduction of the ultra-lite? i never recalled seeing that on the pair of ultra-lites that i had...

no, none of the ultralites had the texture that the st does, they've been mostly smooth, normal weave with the brown and a slicker, less durable paint for the green and white ones.
