Graf G3 weight vs other top skates

Hey guys, I wanted to know if the G series Graf's, specifically the G3's are that much heavier than say a One95. I'm just a beer leaguer, but it would be nice to know if the difference is that much.

Skate weight nowadays is negligible. What you should be concerned about is the fit of both those skates. They are pretty much on the opposite ends of the spectrum with regards to volume, heel shape etc.

I loved my Ultra G3s, they were definitely light enough. If they fit you and you're looking at a good deal for them, I don't think you could go wrong.

Stacey, it's funny you say that because I tried them both on and felt comfortable in both skates. That was why I asked about the weight. They are both around the same price and they both felt really good, so the only other factors I would consider would be weight and durability. Those last two might counteract each other. Thanks though, I'll have to give them another try to see if I do have a preference in fit.

Funny Bekster. It was on different occasions that I tried them on, so I couldn't compare the two side by side.

Graf skates are still generally slightly heavier than a lot of the top end skates on the market like the Vapor, Supreme, Stealth or Synergy to name a few. Graf is starting to jump on the lighter band wagon but are being very careful about it. In my opinion I think they don't want to sacrifice the durablity of their product to get into the fold with the rest of their competition. I have both Grafs and Synergy skates and even though the Grafs are heavier it has little effect on my game or my foot speed. Maybe because of the different profile of the two skates compensates for the difference in weight. All I'm saying is it doesn't really matter about the weight because you adjust to what you wear over the duration of the game.
