CCM vector (v8 &v10) elbow pads

Recommended Posts

I've did a search on info for these elbow pads. I'm thinking on getting a pair as the problem I have now is the ones I have end up around my wrists; I sweat buckets. I'm around 5'8" and I have fairly large forearms so I usally end up getting a medium with may to big but the forearm protectors do not fit if I get a small. Any more info on how these are for staying in place?

Thanks in advance

These elbows have a three strap system and I know the V-10 has the grip bars on the inside. Not sure about the V-8's. They should stay in place pretty well. Other elbows you could try are the Vapor XXXX's or XXV's and the RBK 7K,8K or 9K. Slighty different design but also works well to resist slippage.

I've worn my v8's for 2 games now and I'm not thrilled. The pads themselves feel great but they are sliding down - though not as much as my old ones. I am hoping it's simply a matter of figuring out the right amount of 'tightness' on each strap.

I have the V10s and if the V08s fit the same I would suggest you get a medium size pair. The lycra web stabilizer holds on pretty tight and the straps can tighten up real snug. I have no problem at all with them sliding down at all, they are a little tough to put on but they sure stay put.

Nice. I've been thinking of getting a pair of v10s. When I tried them on they fit nice and snug but maintained full mobility with my arms.

I just got them yesterday, they seem to fit good and they are snug; we'll see after the game tonight

I had some older V10's and loved them except for all the snagging on the jersey and that they were somewhat annoying to get into. I use some S17's now, and while they are easy to use, they also move around more than I'd like, I find myself adjusting them during games.

I'm considering moving back to the V10's honestly, I loved them. No experience with the current year stuff though :(

I'm in the same boat as the original poster. I didn't have much luck with the Easton S9s as slippage was a problem for me. I was at a PIAS and found a really good deal on the S17s that I couldn't pass up. I haven't had anywhere near the slippage problems with the S17s.

I've always used easton elbow pads and like them. However, I just recently bought a pair of v10's and like them way better than any of my eastons.

I've tryed on the V8's at my LHS and it fits awesome. The strap system on it makes it nearly impossible to move around. I currently use Easton Xtreme. They suck and magically end up on my wrists. I'm probably going to pick up a pair of V8's before my inline season starts.

I've been wearing the V08's since the summer/fall and love them. I've always had issues with finding elbow pads that fit right and don't slide down and rotate but these are the first pair I've had that really fit great. I'm 5'9" and have pretty skinny arms, I'm in the small and they fit real great.... the sizing all really depends on the size of your arms not your height.
