Fit of RBK's

Recommended Posts

How do RBK's fit differently to CCM's.

I am looking for a little more room in the heel and forefoot. would the RBK 8K's be a good choice?

Also, i am a size 8.5D in CCM, what size would be best in RBK inlines?

Any info would be great!

RBK's will have a wider heel and forefoot, and a less vertically abrupt arch support. They are typically better at fitting a flatter or fatter foot than the CCM's current offerings.

I got a pair of RBK 8K's (last year's model) in September, using them for 4 hours a week they've stood up very well, and I would recommend them if they fit your foot.

Most of the reviews of the RBK roller line have been pretty positive. The only thing that gets much in the way of negative comment is the chasis. 3 different wheel sizes make rotating wheels a pain and I seem to recall a couple of people complained about the one piece axels on the 9k. Most people really love the boots if they fit.

The last I recall the RBK boots were considered comperable in fit to the old CCM Tacks line. In fact that was my understanding of why RBK/CCM was willing to discontinue the Tacks. But I do not know if it was the exact same last or just much closer than the Vector line. Of course the ice line may fit completely different than the roller line but I think it would be more widely discussed if that were the case.

I've found that the RBK boot is a lot less stiff compared to simular offerings from Mission, but are definately more comfortable for the flat footed, as previously stated.
