One regular at the pickups around me tapes his tongue to the bottom of his shin pad and wraps it so tight around the tendon guard that it has permanently been bent into the back of his ankle. Looks awkward as hell and not quite sure what it helps accomplish...Looks like Boyle leaves his tendon guard out of it though.

I do the same thing with my Vectors, they get a pretty good flex to them but are still stiff laterally. I'll probably do the same as Boyle when I start phasing in my Vapors, doesn't look like the tendon guard will take the abuse without snapping off. He looks like he's taping more at the base, still outside the skate.

Gotcha. I was going to say the outside looks like the 6.0 and I don't remember those being all that stiff. Thanks for the clarification guys.
