Recommended Posts

Hello everyone,

I have a pair of Easton Black Maxx elbow pads, I have had them for about 4 years now and love them. There getting small and I was wondering what elbow pads now are similar to the Black Maxx?

Thanks

A lot of great elbow pads on the market now with very good fit. I would recommend a middle to high end elbow pad from CCM, RBK, Nike/Bauer or

Easton. I've found the CCM V8, RBK 5K and the Nike/Bauer Vapor XXV or XXXX to be very comfortable elbow pads. The Itech 995's are also very economical high end pads that offer great protection and decent comfort. Mission makes a nice elbow pad, the Fuel 90 to 130 series however I find them to be a bit on the bulky side. Easton elbow pads are alright and slim fit but I don't find them as comfortable as a lot ot the other major brands. There's some good suggestions for you so go out and try a few out at the LHS.

I've got a few guys in the Sher-Wood 5030 Tradition elbow pads and they've been pretty happy with them. Both checker/grinders.

One of my defenseman is in Itech 655s. He chose those over the 9ks and hasn't regretted it at all.

I picked up a pair of CCM v10 elbows and love them. They're moderately priced at around $67 and won't slip/move up or down your arm. No complaints!

I needed a quick cheap replacement elbow pad for my adult league so I picked up some easton st.4 pads from dicks for only $20, they are really comfortable and offer quite a bit of padding. You may want to try those if you are looking for a cheap pair.

I cant say anything bad about my one90 elbows

Same here, I can't wait for the One95 Elbows and Shins, as much as I love my One90s they'll be for sale soon to go towards them.

I love my V10s. Great protection, mobility, and they wont slip or move. I tried a lot of other high end elbow pads and these were pretty much by far better, in my opinion anyway, than any other (S17, Fuel 130, One90, etc).

I must have the wrong sized elbow pads, because my V10s always slip and slide, it's kind of annoying.
