need new helmet help fast!

ok i just ordered a new helmet and it came in today and was the wrong size and i need a helmet to play with tonight what is a good helmet that i can go pick up that isnt going to break the bank.....? i was thinking the ccm v8? or the nike bauer 3500?

I believe the V8 is much higher end then the 3500. The V8 has the same shell as the v10 but it has vn liner instead of EPP foam. the 3500 is more of a beginners helmet but will most likely be cheaper then the V8. Its your pick

The best value will probably be a closeout model. I remember when I was in the US for the MSH and we stopped in at the Peranis there was a section of closeout helmets for $30-$40. Locally in the Toronto area I've occassionally seen bins of older Bauer and CCM helmets at National Sports sales at significant discounts. Now, you'll also of course have to hope they have your size and those helmets fit your head well, but that's probably the cheapest and fastest solution. Just drive to a few local shops and see if they're clearing out any helmets.

I agree that the best thing to do is go to your LHS and see if they have any close out they're trying to get rid of... it may be some funky color but if it's cheap then it's not that big of a deal in a pinch. Other than that I can say the CCM V08 is an excellent helmet, definitely not a "cheap" helmet as far as quality (it's their top end helmet for VN liner lovers like me) but it's really not too expensive, I picked mine up for just under $50 and love it.
