vapor xxxx stick weight?

Recommended Posts

Its not always about how much the stick ways. One stick could way more than another but if it is balanced better then it will feel lighter.

Actual weight differs from posted weight... Add grip and find the biggest pattern gives you the higher number, the written number from Easton is a non-grip stick with the smallest pattern. The 40+ gram difference for that? Yes, because 40 grams is nothing in terms of overall weight. 40 grams is approximately how much my tape job weighs.

Aye, 40 grams sounds a lot more significant than "about 1.5 ounces"

its one of the reasons i have stayed with a standard hosel 2-piece. i use a z-bubble which weighs 275 and a z carbon blade which is very light. i need a light stick because of an upper arm injury which leaves me weaker on my strong side. so when shopping for my 1st ops i do want to feel the lightest available in my price range. then check the balance. right now, i am looking at an easton synergy elite non grip or vapor xxv non grip.

The CCM catolouge says 458 in the grip version. It's in CCM's catolouge though and some people were disputing the weights listed. It's just a matter of grams.

The XXXX is nice and light but I can feel the blade actually there compare to my S17 where I didn't even know I was holding anything, I like it.

You won't find an XXV non grip.

didnt notice that. my LHS does not have them in stock. the xxxx feels very light though.

having handled them all, its my perception that the 40 "feels" the heaviest regardless of absolute weights. The U+ though feels like it's the lightest stick, it really feels like a feather, the 40 aint got that goin for it.

Sorry to bring an old thread back up, but did anyone ever get the actual weight of the XXXX stick? I was looking for this info.

Well I've had XXXX, S17 Grip, Warrior Kronik & a U+ CL (Pro Stock ;)) at one point and after playing with all of them the Vapor XXXX is probably the same weight as the S17. It's really light. I'd say the weight is around 455 grams.

The CL I have is inbetween the S17 and the Kronik, the Kronik probably being the heaviest of the bunch (but still very light).

Anyways, you probably won't notice a 20 gram difference, it's about the balance.

The pro stock one I have is heavier than the retail.

I will be getting my hands on a retail one though in a couple of weeks so I'll see the difference then.

I'm not sure if this will help...

A retail One95 (102 flex PM9 curve) weighted in at 455 grams. If I remove the price tag, it'll probably bring it down to 454 grams. LOL

I have two pro stock One95s, one was at 460 grams and the other was 463 grams.

My S17 cut down about 2.5" and taped up was at 485 grams. The pro stock One95 cut to same length and taped up was at 480 grams. The S17 felt lighter than the One95 in my hands cuz it's probably better balanced.
