Mission Fuels

Recommended Posts

Hey guys. I need a new hockey stick and Iam looking at the fuel TI. I have to buy of the internet because they dont have my flex at any stores here. The only problem is i've never seen the fuel TI. I've held the puls and the wicked sticks and didnt like the feel much, and i've held the Fuel TI Pro and it felt so so good. I dont want to buy over the net if i dont like the stick. Iam assuming the fuel TI will feel very simular to the fuel TI PRO. I just want to make sure. any suggestions?

Also, is there another site besides epuck i should try?

thanks.

Most people seemed to prefer the TI to the TI Pro, so if you liked the feel of the TI Pro than the TI should work out fine. The site that is currently epuck is just another HG offshoot, I believe hockeyx.com is the site that is run by the same people from the original epuck.

You just missed the hockey giant sale on all Mission Ti sticks, I picked up the Fuel Ti the other day for 30% off and it should be here by Thursday. From what I've heard the Fuel Ti is a pretty nice stick, I had my eye on the newer Ti version that my LHS had but HG didn't have that and the LHS didn't have the right curve/flex.

As far as places to look for them, Hockey Giant has them, Hockey Monkey has them, and even a bunch of sellers on ebay have them at pretty good prices (but it's ebay so you have to be careful).

I love my Fuel Pyro, and if it weren't for the fact that I have a few blades and a backup already, I'd pick up another, or one of the Ti's.

I just got my TI from the HG sale. I got to use it last night and had my trusty Dolomite with me as a back up just in case I didn't like it. Well, the Dolomite stayed on the bench all night. I really like this stick so far. I would say it's equal to the Dolomite. Very happy with taking the chance in it.

Mine should be waiting at the door when I get home, it wasn't supposed to arrive til Friday but I just checked the fedex tracking and it said it was on the truck for delivery so I'm psyched. I'll be playing a little open hockey tonight so I'll let you know what I think tomorrow morning.

To address the question about ebay buying... hockey sticks, as well as any merchandise bought on ebay, you really have to look at the sellers feedback, the item description and pictures and go from there. It's not hard to tell who's legit and who's not.

the TI Pro has a grip zone on it that the TI doesn't have. I love my TIs, I own four. Great puck feel and decent performance. The only gripe I have is the 85 flex feels stiffer than other 85 flexes

I read that in a few places, that's why I opted for the 75 flex. I cut the stick down a few inches so that always stiffens it up a bit anyways, I'm by no means a big strong guy so I'm really looking forward to giving this one a shot.

ok the verdict is in... I love this stick :D it's nice and light, has great puck feel when handling and passing, and real nice responsiveness on shots both hard and soft. I'm sure some of this has to do w/ the fact that I switched back to a Sakic type curve from a Forsberg and am enjoying the curve/lie more but the shaft felt much better than my previous S11 and SL. About the flex... I picked up the 75 flex and it feels the same as my 85 flex SL after trimming off about 4" from both sticks, I am definitely going to pick up a couple more of these for back ups.

Yuck! I bought an SL and hated it so much I barely used it. I've probably had it for about 2 years now and it's just my backup stick. It's about 4th in line for backups. LOL! I compared it initially to hittiing the puck with a fence post. You could just feel the vibration go though your arms. It did get better after a few uses. Still not crazy about that one though. That's all personal preference though I guess.

Yeah, I can't wait to use mine again now. My first shot in warm ups I ripped a slap shot past our goalie and off the post and in. That was a good start. I'm hoping the durability is good with it since it looks like it will be worthless once the blade breaks. I don't see how it could just be used as a shaft. Anyone know about that?

Your first shot in warm-ups was a slapper?

haha that's exactly how I felt with the S11, couldn't have described it better... my SL feels completely different though and very much like the Fuel Ti. Maybe bad batches or something as far as our issues w/ the Easton's.

I thought the SL was pretty good, other than the durability problems.

Sure, why not! It was just warming the goalie up from just inside the blue line. We only get a few minutes for warmups in our adult league so might as well test it out right away! LOL!! Unfortunately there was no more scoring for me the rest of the night.

About the SL. Yes durability was bad in the beginning. Mine broke on the 2nd pass I received. Chipped the blade so bad that it was unusable. I've had the warranty replacement ever since and swore I would never do another one piece again. But, I've had my eye on the Mission for awhile so I couldn't pass it up.

I'm glad somebody else understands what I mean about the fence post feeling.
