I've seen a one95 repaint on ebay that was a vapor XXXX. The code on that was 87 (flex) and it said XXXX under to identify the model of the stick.

Usually there are random #'s underneath the flex rating on NBH sticks that identify the pro custom curve and the construction of the shaft etc. In your case I'm not too sure what it could mean since its a shaft. Maybe its an older XX shaft?

Saw these at my local PIAS. They're painted like XXXX's but the marking below the flex is XX. Could these possibly still be XX shafts?

I'm sure they could be. Prostock XX shafts used to be marked just inside the shaft on a yellow tag. You could see it if you pulled the end cap off.

They're is a long thin yellow tag but all it says is 77.

Was the XX tapered?

Maybe because it is on the inside, you can't read it properly: 77 could be xx?

Innovative/Warrior made the vapor XX shaft for Bauer, I find it highly unlikely that they would have canceled the contract to make all of the sticks, but still make a few here and there.
