Darshu 0 Report post Posted February 17, 2009 Find a hex-bit or flat-head screwdriver that's slightly larger than the stripped bolt head and tap into the stripped socket with a deadblow hammer or something so that it's good and stuck in there. Then you should be able to remove it.
Bender 0 Report post Posted February 17, 2009 I believe it has been previously reccomended to dremmel a line across the head to fit a flat head screwdriver, this way the bolt is still usable as well.
ATLstealth09 0 Report post Posted February 26, 2009 If you can find a dremel, do that. Forcing/beating the bigger allen key in there may end up killing the threads on your bolt, or even worse, the chassis itself.
fawn111 0 Report post Posted April 6, 2009 You can take a 1/8 metal drillbit and drill the bolt about a 1/4 inch. Take a bit off the existing sides of the stripped bolt. You should then be able to simply tap the next size allen wrench in there and you will have enough leverage to remove it.But dremeling a slot is also a great way to remove it.
