hockeyplaya97 0 Report post Posted February 18, 2009 Hey all,I've looked through the rulebook, and I can't find anything regarding this so I came to you guys for help. Can a ref wear a mirrored visor? I already have one sitting in my garage and if it's legal for reffing, what the hell, I'll use that one rather than shell out more cash for another one. Thanks guys!-Jake

fieldofdreams 0 Report post Posted February 18, 2009 Agreed. Mirrored visors are a no-no. Plus you would look like the world's biggest plug. Hard to respect a Zebra in a mirror.

RecLeagueHero 0 Report post Posted February 19, 2009 You can't wear one, but even if you technically could, why the hell would you? Have a little professionalism, would you be thrilled if a ref showed up at one of your games with a frigging tinted visor?

Apes44 7 Report post Posted February 19, 2009 Double check with USA hockey but we have a ref in our league who uses one, I mean yeah as a ref you look like even more of a tool than you do as a player but, as long as no one questions it, shouldnt be an issue

It's always nice to see someone breaking the rules when they're in charge of monitoring the behavior of others.
