RBK 9K Skates

Hey folks,

Having seen the bargain The Hockey Shop has on the White 9K seconds I'm seriously considering ordering a pair. My dilemma is that in my last pair of RBK skates (last years 5k model) I wore a 9.5D and they fitted perfectly however THS don't have them in stock.

So my question is, would it be better to order them in a 9.5E or a 10D? I know neither will feel as good as my 9.5D's did but I'm wondering which way would give me the best fit.

My worry about ordering an E is that they will get very sloppy in the heel area, on the other hand if I go half a size bigger would my foot move back and forward inside the skate?

It would be better to not buy them. Buying a discounted skate that doesn't fit, selling it, and then buying a new pair will likely offset whatever you save by buying the closeouts.

It will only be a waste of money if you buy it either bigger or wider.

I agree with all of the above here. I "settled" with a pair of $400 skates that didn't fit right and guess what? I bought another pair of $400 skates that work for me and the same $400 pair that doesn't fit me right is siting collecting dust. I would have loved to just gotten the right one in the first place even if it was $100-200 more.
