SE 17 GRIP OR S17 GRIP

Recommended Posts

Ive used both I found s17 to be a shooters stick..if anyone noticed rangers coaches were getting on gomez to shoot more so he switched to the s17 for the playoffs...it is great for shooters but it is almost to lively while catching passes or getting the puck on the boards to breakout...se16 is more of an all around stick..it is weak in a way..doesnt have that blade strength in the dirty areas that bauer sticks have..but is good for handling the puck..to be honest I think the one95 is a mix of everything so maybe look at that

hey guys not meaning to change the topic, but just wondering if there are S17 shafts? I just love the OPS but due to the short life blade I'm thinking if there is a 2 piece option?

nope. and due to the elliptical taper, I doubt there ever will be.

i just bought an S17 yesterday... the first thing that went through my mind after i purchased it was "did easton develop this elliptical taper to avoid people reusing their broken OPS?"

havent used it yet, but i've been in bed with the stealth model since its inception, so I hope the tradition of excellence continues.

When they first came out with them that was my immediate first thought.

However, I don't think that was their primary motivation, but it may have contributed to their choosing that idea over others that were probably thrown out there.

Has anyone converted an S17 OPS to a shaft? I don't suppose any blade will fit the tapered end, so it's a must to flip it and use the butt end?
