CCM E-pro to Tuuk

Recommended Posts

Anyone know if the rivet holes for the E-pro are the same as the Tuuk holders? That is, can you just remove the E-pro and replace with Tuuk without having to drill new holes in the skate and / or holders? Thanks.

No. The E-Pro has a weird set up on the back tower. I believe it has 5 rivets...Three on one side and two on the other. I don't believe the E-Pro matches up with anything.

Basically a straight swap for me. I'd spent much of my formative years on Tuuk + so it was really just a case of getting back to what I was best on.

Edit: my swap was E-Pro to Tuuk +

the holes don't line up at all. the rear of the ccm has 6, but one of them is more forward than the others, when i did the mount on the tacks, i had to drill all new holes.

Yep, holes don't match up.

My pro stock Vector Pro skates came pre-drilled for Tuuks but they have E-Pros on them. I can see the other holes once I remove the soles.

edit: Tucks?

S4gobabygo, or anyone else....can you tell me if those pro tacks in the pic have a different kind of rivet or screw in the holders? It doesnt look like the normal rivets. If there is a screw or bolt of some sort that would make installing Tuuks on Pro Tacks way easier it would seem.

I just bought a pair of Pro Tacks from a guy who had LS Tuuks installed on them. I got them the other day and one of the blades is definently bent. They chatter and wobble all over the place...kind of pissed me off since he swore they were installed professionally..

Anywho, I need to straighten the steel, but the holder is the real problem. I am hoping if I remove the rivets on one side of the front of the holder and then reinstall them, it will relax the holder some and let the steel straighten out. Is this even a possibility? A waste of time? These were only $80 skates too me, but the boots are in terrific condition and fit me perfect so I'd like to get the steel figured out so I can start using them.

Edit to add: I just realized that the guy put 288 tuuks on 9.5D Protacks. I'm wondering if they had to tweak things a little to get the larger holders on the Tack outsole. After looking at it some more, I think I will get someone with the tools and know how involved. I really love these boots and cant wait to get them set up correctly.

How in the world do you fit in every of those 3??? I fit only in one90s and I remeber trying the other two and they were extremely uncomfortable..
