Good Skate near Piscataway NJ

My mens travel goalie just moved to NJ to do doctorate work at rutgers, he's popped into a couple drop in's and hasn't been impressed at all. Does anyone no of a good skate or league around there? He's a good goalie and will play pretty much anywhere at any time as long as the game is good.

It is always hit or miss in central jersey. I've been to some my best and worse skates at Bridgewater Sports Arena and Pro-Tech Ponds. I have heard that Friday and Saturday nights are usually pretty good down at the Princeton Sports Center on Route 1, but I haven't convinced myself to drive all the way out there to check it out yet.

Red Bank Armory

Excellent establishment. Great facility.... they have three or four house leagues running at any one time.

About 40 minutes from Piscataway give or take with Traffic.

Never played in a league at Princeton Sports Center but Open hockey is usually pretty competitive

Protec Ponds in somerset has alot of woodbridge high school kids going every now and time ( me being one of them). open hockey at princeton isnt that hot now. i went a couple of times there is usually me and my cousin who probably could of made it to the nhl or ahl. other then that theres little kids there. Woodbridge Community has a couple good adult hockey teams (the red hawks and team polska are pretty good). i would try mennen arena in morristown i think or the ice vault.

your probably talking about sticktime.. the adult open hockey is later and is 18+.. there are usually some former echl and junior players there
