Cage recommendations

I have a 9500 helmet and cage coming in the mail as I write this. I just wish it wasn't so shiney.

Anyone know if the 9500 has any coating on it or if it is just bare stainless steel? If it's bare, I may rough it up with sandpaper to get the brushed look. That should dull it up.

My 9500 cracked, pretty surprised actually. Having great luck with 480s though.

since the 9500 is out of my price range and the 480 is hard to find in a medium im going with nbh 8500 in a medium because for whatever reasons its very cheap. Two questions. will it fit a ccm v08 helmet in a medium, and is this cage any good

I went from a 480, size large to an Itech RBEVIII, size medium, on my 5500 and found the medium in Itech to be a good middle ground between the 480 medium and large. I do wear it with the old CCM L-shaped clips at the top though, so i don't have the bar as high as the stock clips would make it.

What's the deal with the rbk cage?! It looks just like the 480 but it dents all the time and it's way too long proportionally. One came with my 8k, and I thought I'd just use it, but my chin barely reaches the cup

The cage that comes with cascade helmets is pretty nice... I don't think they sell it separately though

you realize that you can flip the top clips to shorten the rbk cage right?

Yeah but then I'd look like a retard and the clips on the sides would have to come off... I'm all about style on the ice
