Hi guys,

I'm sure many of you have read my thread about tapered shafts and which one I should get. Well now I'm starting to think that maybe I should get an OPS, but there are a couple things holding me back. First I play inline exclusively so I need to know how fast a blade is going to wear out on smoothed, almost slippery, cement. Also is it easy to cut an OPS down and replace the blade once it has worn down? Finally, are these as durable as a tapered shaft? If you guys could answer these that would be great. If you think I should just go ahead and get a shaft, as in it would suit me better than an OPS, let me know. Also if you think it would be more beneficial for whatever reason to get an OPS over a tapered shaft let me know which one you think I should get. Thanks a bunch.

Just go with a tapered shaft and blade. You won't have to worry about cutting it down when it breaks and you can change curves if you decide you want something different.

I totally agree with ljack you should just get a tapered shaft and a blade. If you want better feel you can just change to a wood blade. And like ljack said you can change curves without cutting down the shaft. And also it's cheaper if you buy a shaft/blade combo than a OPS in most cases.

Ill have to agree with all the previous posts. Get the combo. You`ll have the same performance, probably a bit cheaper, and you`ll have the luxery of changing curves and blades without having to cut donw the stick. I honestly dont know why I use a ops
