Help with Skate sizing between X60 and S17

Recommended Posts

First off, i did search but I didn't find anything...with that said, I'm planning on buying a new pair of skates. I just wanted to get your help with the sizing of the Bauer x60 and the Easton S17. I'm currently on Easton S15 size 8.5ee. Do the other two pairs fit the same as the S15? What size should I get for the new skates? Thanks for your help folks

can't speak for the x60, but i do have a pair of s12's and have tried on the s15's. the fit between them was identical for me. i'm assuming the fit between the s12 and s17 are also identical.

s15 and s17 fit the same.

X60 and s17 do not fit the same however, with the x60 being narrower in the forefoot, and wider in the heel, at least in my experience as a s15 owner.

Thanks a lot for the help guys, all the LHS here only have the x60 for me to try on so I'm going to do that, no one here has the S17 so if I decide to go with that route I'll just order the same size as my S15. But are the S17 that much better than the S15, or is it just very minor changes, besides the new looks

I believe the X60 to be a "deeper" skate whereas the Easton skates may be "wider" but lack the volume that the other skates have. Perfect for wide and shallow fit perhaps?

S17's are a very much improved version of the S15. All the durability issues were addressed, different toecap, stock felt tongue, identical fit.
