Gaborik curve, my goodness.

Recommended Posts

Call this a stupid thread... but what in the hell does this curve accomplish? lol!!! I saw it today at my local hockey shop. They have ONE 85 flex Easton synergy gaborik curve.

I've never seen such a nasty, deep curve ever... Besides the ovechkin. Mind you, this is coming from someone that uses the malkin/zetterberg curve... I'm about to try the iginla- but before I do this.. I put the gaborik stick on hold for a day.

Is there currently any users of the gaborik curve out there that can share opinions as to what they saw different from their usual curve you guys are used to using? I mean.. what's this do to your shots?

Sucha sick curve on the toe..... discuss w/me so I can see if this is worth getting :)

What's a holy curve? lol :-X

He means it was a lot of peoples favorite curve and they absolutely loved it and scrambled to find them laying around after the curve was discontinued by Easton.

Holy as in like a Religious kind of aspect.

It's a curve that is so rare and a lot of people like it they are somewhat like the xn10 sticks a lot of people love them but they are hard to find.\

Woops thanks krev ;)

maybe "holy grail" curve might be a better term. the term is used on golf equipment forums all the time referring to someone's "it" club.

Gaborik .. just the thoughts of that hook .. wow. My wrist shot was wild with that thing! I probably still have a left handed synergy with a gaborik on it in my basement somewheres

Hmmm heavily recommended then...

Would you guys pick one up for 100 $'s?

it was the last one on the easton rack. It was like tucked away behind every other stick in the easton section...it even had like dust on it lol.

There are much better sticks out there than the S17.

ya man.

I'm trying to knock myself out from the trend. I know they're good shooting sticks but have the worst reputation for snapping at the blade. I know about a month from now I'm gunna be kicking myself for buying it. Even the guy there recommended the Easton STEALTH CNT's over the S17. but they only had the stupid drury curves :-(

They have an iginla cnt but it's a Intermediate 65 flex. Surprisingly it isn't as whippy as I thought... I'm thinkin about pickin it up for shits n giggles since I know the senior flexes back in easton's 1st generation was a 65...

I'm in the 77/85 Nike bauer sticks & the SE16s

It's my local hockey shop here in San Jose, California called: Power play hockey.

They have a website but it's nothing that lets you buy stuff over the internet.

Drury curves are available for 85 flex and 100 flex... plenty left in LEFTY curves ----- only about 1 to 5 left in righty's, I don't know about the righty flexes. I'ma lefty!

price....The sticker price says 165$'s but they're all in the DISCONTINUED BIN. The bin says the highest price stick in that bin is 140$'s... so Im going to assume they discount it at check out.

**edit**

by the way - if you guys are used to using 70 flex...just bear with me. would you pick up the int 65 flex for the Stealth CNT? lol the blade is the same length as the senior and the only curve im interested in besides this gaborik curve is the iginla curve. I like the low flexing... I can load up real nasty with it.

Hah, I know where that is.

If I was a lefty I would've went and snatched that Gabby CNT. :P Do they have any righty 65 flex CNTs, and how much?

@ guitarmy

I'll check for you through out the week if you'd like? I'm going to buy that gaborik stick either tomorrow or friday...whenever my friggin Direct deposit kicks in from work!!!!!

@hockeyfreak--

ya man I'm thinking the same thing... the stealth CNT in an iginla 65 flex intermediate is what im wanting lol... i dont care if its a 65... think ima pick it up with the gabs stick I really have nothing to lose seeing that the int. stick blades are the same size as the SR. blades... the flex 65 used to be eastons sr flex anyway ;-x

If anyone else wants a Stealth CNT check let me know on this thread or PM me...

Yeah, that would be cool if you don't mind. I'm heading down to Sharks Ice on Saturday, I might make a detour if they have some CNTs for a reasonable price.
