Hockey Gear bag.

Recommended Posts

I can't use the search... so if there is another thread explaining this... please do LINK & save the flames :-).

So, someone would think that a hockey player always HAS a hockey gear bag. right? WRONG.

Ever since i converted from goalie to forward... I lacked a hockey gear bag ( sold my goalie gear bag along with all my equipment ). So I 've been using a regular gym PUMA duffel bag, lmfao. It is nowhere near the size of a hockey gear bag. & it was always a chore to put all my gear in it..SO I got my first hockey bag off ebay today ( it finally came ) It's a Authentic minnesota wild un-used pro equipment bag. IT's solid, neat and spacious. In fact. it has too much space since I'm use to a small little dinky thing.

What should a player have in his gear bag besides his gear & tape rolls? I have extra team sweater's & socks & two pairs of skates ( just in case ). I know I'm missing other stuff worth walking around with... what could they be? :)

Thanks in advance!

Water bottle for sure, stick wax, extra skate laces, maybe a helmet repair kit, thats all I can really think of.

There are a few kids I played with who had small first-aid kits, just in case.

Spare power bar, spare cup, scissors, spare schedule for the knuckle heads who never know when the next game is.

stick wax, heat gun, saw, laces, extra blade, end plug, stick tape, extra socks, shower stuff, laces.

thats all i can think of besides the obvious

p.s. what parameters did you use to find a team issue gear bag? i search all the time and come up with nothing.

I play drop in games in Ukraine where I am right now. Slappers and checks in drop ins allowed here (unlike in places where I used to play drop ins in the States). So I also put a Louisville Slugger aluminum baseball bat into my bag in case some big jerk doesn't understand CLEAN body checks. I think the bat is a good explanation tool for those big ones who can't take them. So far nothing really serious happened though):

By all means NO! Don't forget about the Ukrainian girls. They're very pretty are as much fun as playing hockey.

just the guys are butt ugly right? :P

Yep. But I am not interested in them. What is upsetting though, lots of pretty looking girls go out with them. In many cases because those guys got the money:) Isn't this universal?

Well, let's get back to hockey gear bags. I never leave mine in the locker. That saved my cash, Texas driver's license and cell phone once. Two young kids left early and and took everyone's valuables from the locker room. They got caught eventually anf got beaten the crap outa them

I carry an extra set of sharpened tuuk blades in a soaker just in case I crack one or really mess up an edge; with the tools to replace them of course. And flip flops because I hate athletes foot.
