low end woodie

Is the sherwood 5030 considered a "low end" wood stick. Reason I ask is I can only find threads about the 9950 and NBH one75 wood. I just got the 5030 for $10 so I was just wondering what I should expect from it

define low-end; pretty sure it's the best selling stick ever (or close)

for lots of older players, it's the goto stick

the higher end sticks just get a fiberglass wrap on the shaft to increase the flex

and maybe use aspen or ash instead of hickory

Edit: in Canada it goes for around $30 so i'd say you got a good deal!! :)

If you want wood, that's a solid stick to have.

alright cool. now I know about caring for wood on ice but is there really anything you need to do to care for wood sticks in roller seeing as there really is no moisture besides from the air

What surface will it be used on in Roller Hockey?

Sport Court will be gentle on it.

Asphalt / Concrete will be a killer on the blade.
