They open up just a bit. Ask if you can try on a new pair and compare them to the floor model. If they feel the same, they'll break in a bit. If they are tighter, they'll probably end up about the floor model or maybe a hair looser. But not a big difference.

I just picked up a pair of Bullies from Pure Hockey and love them. They fit pretty tightly and feel great. Plus, the weight is fantastic...lightest glove I've ever owned. In my opinion the Bullies are great value for the money. Pure Hockey seems to offer a lot more colors than any other retailer if you're looking for specific colors.

wow! thanks for letting us know that. I just assumed they had just the usual (boring) colors. going to have to seriously consider some Bullys now.

my team wears the Plymouth Whalers alternate green jersey. wonder if I should go with Navy w/ green or the green and black? hmmmm.......thoughts?

I tried on the XXXX(std vers but looking at Pro) & XXV today. Much better fit for me than the 4-rolls. I have reg/long fingers & a skinny hand. I like them both, just not sure if extra $$$ of the XXXX Pro is worth it. How would these 2 compare to the One90's? My LHS doesn't have any.

you might to be able to find some 4-rolls off ebay for a great price, i got a pair of san jose 4-rolls for 90$ the overall feel of the gloves is greater then the stock version i would consider that

I looked on eBay for some XXXX Pros but most were $125-$150. I think I'm gonna save about $50 & get the XXV's. I play 1x week so hopefully they will hold up well.

I have a pair of black and white XXXX Pro's, I love em. The palms are real soft and seem to be holding up pretty well in the 10 or so months i've been using them. I play at least 2 times a week, so I don't give them a lot of abuse i suppose. They're really soft and have a pretty narrow fit, but i don't feel like the cuff gets in the way of stickhandling, and i think they're pretty significantly lighter then the XXXX leather version. I have a thin hand/long fingers too. I can't speak to the price as I got them as an early christmas gift after my old XXV's bit the dust, but if you can find em a little cheaper then 125 i think they're worth it.
