GRAF 370 IX

Recommended Posts

I just noticed this new listing on hockey monkey and was intrigued: http://www.hockeymonkey.com/graf-hockey-skate-370-ix-sr.html

I was wondering A: What kind of fit are they, and B. are they cheap for a reason or are they still built with quality like the rest of the Graf line? I'm not one who plays everyday, I get on the ice maybe twice a week and that's only from September through about April.

Like its siblings the 570 and ULTRA G70, the light and nimble 370 has a deep fitting design with a regular heel fit and moderately curved heel shape. It's a great new skate for players who don't want to sacrifice GRAF's signature fit and performance for price. We've designed a PVC Monocoque quarter construction to give full integration of the frame to the quarter structure for maximum strength and improved weight reduction. We've also re-engineered the GRILAMID toe cap for enhanced durability and protection. The cambrelle lining is an effective and efficient system that draws moisture away from the foot and dissipates it to keep you cool and comfortable.

lol forefoot area i have no clue

I've seen them and they look like a nice well made skate.

I did not get to try them on because they did not have anywhere near my size, but I did consider having my shop order a pair. I changed my mind when I found a pair of '06 Pro Tacks on the web for 299 canadian.

Yeah that's not a bad deal.

I think maybe these will replace my 2nd hands that I bought that are totally ripped to shreds. Hopefully one of the proshops in this area has them in stock.

Chappie - check the Graf website for dealers - A Graf skate under $400.00 is a big deal, I'd think any listed Graf dealer should have them.

If you do get them post a review...I think a lot of us would be interested.

Good luck -

I hope the day comes when some companies build an old-school skate (like the CCM's or Daust) that have more leather in them. My view on modern skates is that way too much has been sacrificed with the plastic/composite skate in the name of weight and stiffness.

I realize I'm showing my age, but I can't stand the stuff I pay so much for today.

IMO I think I notice allot more players falling from losing their footing today (at all levels) than they did before the super-stiff and light skate era.

The skates give only to a point and then your flat on your a$$ sliding out of control (rant off).
