metalwinger13 1 Report post Posted July 27, 2009 I couldnt find anything real quick under search but i was curious if anyone had or has a TPS rubber tapered shaft and how they like itthanks
mickz 107 Report post Posted July 27, 2009 I used to have a standard one. There's really no point in buying one unless you're looking strictly for durability. Mine felt rather boxy and hollow. This shaft definitely isn't in my top 10.
SirJW 207 Report post Posted July 27, 2009 I liked mine at the time but the black rubber rubs off on to your gloves.

This shaft definitely isn't in my top 10.There were two versions, the standard and the pro radius. You obviously had the standard shaft shape which I preferred. The shaft was decent so long as you got yourself the right flex and it did last.
thugnation00 0 Report post Posted July 28, 2009 The original TPS rubber shaft (standard) was my favorite shaft of all time. I'd pick one up if I could find one.I was pretty disappointed in the tapered one that is available now. I'm not sure if that's just because I've used better sticks that have come out since the original or if it's just no good.
sickwilly 37 Report post Posted July 28, 2009 I bought a couple of the ones that HG has on sale now (tapered). I think they're fine, but definitely not amazing. I think it's a good deal for the price (43 bucks). I wouldn't pay the same as I would for some of the newer, top-end shafts, though. The CSR tapered ones felt a bit boxy on my lower hand. They are a lot lighter than I expected. I think they're decent, especially if you're looking for something cheap that will take a beating. I'd buy them again for what I paid, but probably keep them as a backup.

sickwilly 37 Report post Posted August 9, 2009 They dropped the price to 29.99 a couple of days ago. Not sure if it's still there.
fatwabbit 93 Report post Posted August 9, 2009 I had the rubber response, cut OPS... it was really boxy, very light, and was super flexy.
