  1. local rink starts an all ages draft league. I do the draft skate and today go to pay my fee, and told it is now a 35+ league. So tired of this joke of a rink.. always something funny or shady going on.
  2. glad to see you were not one of the many who were hoarding the most ridiculous stuff like boxes of tape, etc
  3. Local rink has a good following at a decent time for a monday and sat night dropin. They decide to switch the time without warning and now no one shows up. Frustrating cause i enjoy playing here and they only did this so there would be no "dead ice".
  4. the NHL sheild looks screened on or ironed on instead of the typical patch that is sewn on
  5. basically a sakic with a touch more curve.. ill try and get a pic of it and throw it on here if no one has yet
  6. I also bought a stick from hockeytown authentics in the joe but at wed night game. Didnt see any eaves at all. Seemed they were all lefties and from miller, kronwall, stuie, hudler and salei. i did like the price though! Ended up getting the best looking hudler they had. This one didnt have as much tape residue as twistoffate stated. Take it you did not notice the used pro stock edge game socks they had there did ya?
  7. girlfriend is taking treating me to dinner at hockeytown cafe and bought me tickets to the wings game tomorrow! she said dont have to worry bought money and i can drink as much as i want!! lets just say pretty pumped for this birthday present!!
  8. get told about a private drop in at 2 at a local rink, head out there and get there about 130 and find out its cancelled by the guy running it..
  9. oh ok.. i think itll be easy.. my uncle does the same but picks up the inno maniac sticks and just cuts the blade off and it works great.
  10. Being the first stick ive ever done like this, i had used a small hand saw to carefully cut some of the fused part of the stick. then i had the damnedness time with the torch trying to pull it.. used a small flat head screwdriver to peel away in a sense the shaft from all the glue on the hosel of the blade.. I probably did it wrong being my first stick and kind of winging it but i ended up cutting maybe 1/2 inch off the hosel of the blade and slightly indenting the hosel from prying. it works great and i play maybe 1-2 times a week at various drop ins. if you have done one before then youll be fine. but its pretty easy just a lil more work then i had expected. i would recommend a torch over a heat gun to help pull the blade out. let me know if ya have any other questions
  11. Hey Brian I have pulled a played from a dolomite and reused it.. it was actually a pro stock dolomite. Its rather easy i thought. There is a bit of work to it though.
  12. good luck on the recovery and rehab TOO OLD. this time last year i was recovering from 12 screws and a plate in my leg. broke both my tibia and fibia. took me about 8 months before i played hockey again. but good luck with that man!!
  13. yea that guy is a bit of a douche. hell be rough but as soon as someone is a lil rough with him he gets all pissy.. so whatever. im just out there for fun and exercise really
  14. as i mentioned before when i play "all out" i juts bust as to keep up and get better. i will attempt to clear a "homer" in front of the net with a very slight push to let them know im there and to see if they move. i had one guy who started pushing back into me so i pushed him back even more and he got mad at me for trying to clear him from the net. i just try to play safe but also bust ass so i can get better.
  15. im very similar to livhockey. i dont go crazy out there, but i hustle my ass off cause to me i feel better doing that then if i just coasted around. i dont go checking and all that other stuff, but i do occasionally block some shots, and just play at 100%. no one has really complained. and the people that just play offence bug me as liv said. maybe thats why i try and play both ends of the ice?
