A heel lift would help.

I had T-Blades on my 40 and let me be the first to tell you this, DON'T DO IT! It's the worst thing i ever did, the first time i stepped on the ice i couldn't believe how loud they were and the whole you don't need to sharpen for a long time...psh. Save your money don't do t-blades. Just my personal experience i'm trying to pass along

so your saying dnot do it cause there loud? or cause there werent good? so if they have a neutral pitch i there shouldnt be that much change from the holder thats on there now to t-blades?

Have you ever heard a pair of t-blades before? Not only were they loud but since the amount of blade/steel on there is so tiny it's easy to lose an edge on quick sharp turns, also if you're used to taking pucks off your holder and kicking it to your stick, get ready to not do it much anymore. If you do it with the t'blade holders you'll start to chip away at your holder, and if you catch a hard pass or shot off the holder, they'll crack or screws will fall out which holds the runners to the holders. All together t-blades are great to look at, but I would never do it again and if I could go back I'd save the $200+ I spent mounting the holders, replacing screws and runners, and buying the screwdriver(which is special for the t-blade screws.)

Speak for yourself, I think they are absolutely hideous.

I have my tblades on a pair of graf g35's and have had no complaints. As for loosing an edge, I skated in circles trying to turn at the smallest radius possible, and man they are like glue to the ice, they really hang in there. I got caught a couple of times when I had to go from forwards to backwards, and I caught an edge, and I was sprawled out on the ice. As far as Im concerned they really hold their edge when turning, and they stay sharp a long time.

I had Tblades too for a while (and have a lot of leftover parts of anyone wants to buy them). They are indeed very loud, but who cares, you aren't sneaking up on anyone during hockey. They also keep an edge very well and do stay sharp quite long.

Like the other person said, the stabilizers are kind of the weak point. Take a few pucks off them and the paint chips and they crack. My chrome ones are pretty much dull gray now since most of the chrome paint came off. At $30 a pair, they're kind of a bitch to replace. The same goes for the screws and screwdriver.

Yea, to each their own, I don't think they're that bad, I didn't have the regular white holders mine looked like this...

It's like 10 to 1 on good reviews here. I personally never used them but my buddy on my team has em and I asked him about them. He said he was skeptical at first but after he got them a few years back he never wants to have regular steel on his skates again. Yeah they are loud but he said he felt it improved his skating and speed. So take what you will from that.

I really didn't like mine. I felt that it was pretty easy to lose part an edge. They are very light. I disagree somewhat with the comment about the noise not mattering at all. I've had opposing defenseman thank me for using those blades because they were so loud. I found that made it a little harder to "shake coverage"/get open if the D turned their back for a second with T-Blades. Sometimes getting open for that split second is all it takes to generate a good scoring chance.

When I went back to regular steel, people seemed to notice that I was a little faster. I never noticed any improved glide with the T-Blades, really.

In comparison to an E-Pro Holder, I felt that there was more steel at the back of the Epros, or that I may have been pitched a little more forward. I always used the medium radius on the T-Blade.
